Kaja Słojewska
Kaja Słojewska is a graphic-turned-typeface designer, currently based in Vancouver, Canada. Having a background in traditional art and graphic design, during her BA studies at Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology she became fascinated with letterforms. This passion led her to study a Masters in Type Design at the University of Reading, which Kaja graduated with distinction in 2017. Shortly thereafter she has decided to become a full-time freelance type designer and start her own company, Nomad Fonts. As Nomad Fonts she is working with individuals and companies to expand typeface families, produce typefaces, create custom fonts and logotypes. Additionally, Kaja is working on publishing her own original type families. Since 2018 Kaja is mentored by the former Type Director of Monotype UK, Nadine Chahine.
